Twin's Nursery and 36 weeks & 5 days

The nursery is done. What a relief. Getting ready for babies to come is hard work. Especially when your belly gets in the way of bending down.
But it's ready for them and we are so excited for them to be a part of our lives.

As I write this post i'm 36 weeks and 5 days.
We feel so blessed that they are still in the belly and loving life in there.

36 weeks

The pregnancy has gone very well.
I'm even still working!
Yes, hard at times of course but I have felt very blessed along the way. In all honesty I never knew if I would get pregnant and I have really tried to soak it all in. Because I am pregnant!  At times it still feels surreal. I wanted it to happen for years and it happened! I am ... 9 months now!
I love feeling them move around and get the hiccups.
Yes, my left foot gave out around 6 or 7 months and I had to get the chiropractor to fix it and yes my SI joint has been inflamed for over a month now, my feet and hands are swollen and I now know what heartburn is and sleeping is not so fun anymore... and I'm running out of clothes... but really it is all worth it.
Our babies will be here before we know it!

Star Valley Cabin Time 2013

Being pregnant didn't stop us from heading up to Star Valley to the family cabin. We had a great time even with the random monsoon season weather.  I can't believe next year the twins can come with us!

With the clouds and rain brought some beautiful sunsets!

We did some boating, played games, visited with some friends that live in Star Valley, looked at the new Star Valley Temple site and enjoyed cabin life.

Bald eagle
Father Johnson waterskiing
Oh and it appears we blew out a trailer tire on our way home from the cabin.
Quite the adventure...  until next year!

Maternity twin photo shoot

I'm now 27 weeks along with the babes.
So crazy to think they could be here in two months. Give or take of course. I've loved getting to know them already from their movements like doing some kickboxing and somersaults in my belly.
At an ultrasound a couple weeks ago baby boy was just moving and moving all around. I think we could be in for it! We even got to see baby girl in 3D ... he of course was not cooperating.

Also, three weeks ago Abe's cousins wife was so kind to take some maternity pics for me while we were visiting with family in Huntsville. The perfect place for pics!

In the photos I was 24 weeks. Here are just a few of my favorites.

Thanks again Christy for being so great!  Check out her work at: http://photographychristybrown.blogspot.com/

Babiesmoon Cruise

Abe and I decided we needed a vacation before the babies come. Just the two of us.
So we looked up cruises and decided on a Southern Caribbean cruise for May.
8 days on the ship and a few extra days exploring Miami and Key West.
We had an amazing time.  We cruised when I was 18 weeks along. I truly felt so good on the cruise. I tried to drink a lot of water and got in the water as much as I could. And we played and played and played!

Here are some pics... okay a lot of pics... from our babiesmoon cruise.
Eating in Little Havana in Miami
 Exploring South Beach

 Leaving the port of Miami
 Hanging out on the boat
First Formal night

Our waiters were the best!
Pretty sure he was obsessed with Guy Fieri's burger bar on the ship.

Our dinner friends all the way from Vancouver Canada.

Our 4 port stops were Grand Turk, Dominican Republic, Curacao and Aruba. We did a whole lot of snorkeling!
Grand Turk

We swam with and held stingrays, nurse sharks, barracudas and lots oh lots of tropical fish!

Meeting the locals in Grand Turk
A replica of John Glenn's capsule that fell in Grand Turk

Next up..the DR.. the water in the caribbean is so amazing. Warm, clear and turquoise!
Abe did paddle boarding with the locals

And we explored the city of La Romana

Our third port stop was Curacao. Owned by the Dutch.
The pastel colored buildings were quite beautiful.

Of course we did more snorkeling. And saw some amazing sea life.

Sunset in Curacao at Playa Portomari
Before getting back on the ship we dined at a restaurant that served Dutch food. Fun to try!
And finally our last stop was Aruba! Also owned by the Dutch.

We got a taxi and headed over to Palm Beach which was amazing... Paradise for sure!
While at Palm Beach we snorkeled around a sunken German WWII freighter

We did have to do some exploring of the city Oranjestad before heading back on the the boat.

Once we got back to Miami we rented a car and drove to Key West. What an amazing place!
We went sunset snorkeling at the 3rd largest reef in the world.
Ate dinner at Duval Street and of course ate some Key Lime Pie.

And did some more exploring in Key West before heading to the airport.

We had a great time!  We enjoyed the boat and all the stops we went to. Such a great babiesmoon.
Now onto getting the house in order before the babes arrive!
